Susan G Komen Slogan Strikes OutAn alert friend pointed out to me that Susan G Komen’s slogan is “Join the Global Breast Cancer Movement.” Uh, no thanks. I’m not partial to getting cancer.

My problem with the Susan Komen Race was the number of TV ads that ran for weeks before the event. How much money did they spend trying to entice runners? I do not want to see my money spent on television ads rather than research.

Mom — And the D.C. race STILL hasn’t happened. I agree completely. There’s a big perception (a reality?) that the race fees are doing little but covering massive radio and TV ad buys.
